Legend…
He was born in the wagon of a traveling show. His Mama used to dance for the money they’d throw. His Papa was a man he would never get to meet. And at the tender age of fourteen, Johnny hit the street.
Like a moth to a flame the young entertainer was drawn to the bright lights of Las Vegas. Dynamic presence and vocal talent made him a natural in the world of show business.
Johnny’s burning desire to bring the world solid entertainment and proper hair care lead him to a life in Rock n’ Roll, and it is here that the legend begins…
1969 – Dancer/Backup singer with the Miracles (appeared on The Tami Show).
1971 – Backup singer for many great R & B artists including: Marvin Gaye, Wilson Pickett, Sam Cooke and Jimmy “Po Boy” Pickin-Kwiklee.
1974 – Signed a long term contract with Col. Fletch Tichman. The ‘Colonel’ kept Johnny singing in roadhouses and state fairs until he was arrested on charges of tax evasion and mail fraud in 1975.
1978 – Made several television appearances including a non-speaking part as ‘Julio Ramirez’ on the CBS sitcom “Sanford and Son”.
1981 – Taking a hiatus from music, Johnny gave something back to his fans by working as a bingo caller at the “Happy Meadows Retirement Village” for tips and booze.
2000 – After winning the “Good Day Philadelphia” karaoke contest on WPVI Johnny performed in the Philly area with a ten piece horn band. The Legend was the opening act at the Republican National Convention and has entertained at various events in every major hotel and event center.
2005 – Re-establishes himself as a world class entertainer Johnny launches his brand new line of ‘Legendary Hair Care’ products and hot new band THE FULL GROWN MEN!
