“The Legend returns to perform for benevolent order”

Bordentown, NJ

The Legendary Johnny Pompadour will make a return appearence to the Bordentown Elks Lodge for an evening of music and dancing Saturday November 13th, 2010.

PR spokeswomen for the entertainer Trish Palomar enlightened, “For years Johnny has worked very closely with charitable organizations such as the Elks in Robbinsville and St Vincent DePaul here in Bordentown. With the success of our last performance we were able to accomodate our friends so that we could bring this much needed entertainer to the community.”

Johnny will be supported by the one and only Full Grown Men, Twangbar Kingstein and the ever stoic Rev Joey Knuckles on guitars as well as Cliff Hanger on drums.

The trio has been performing in the Delaware Valley since 2005 but their history goes well beyond that.

Walt Papp an Elks member and the person responsible for bringing the group to the event remembers them playing music together as far back as 1976 when Twang was a member of the seminal group the Shades and the popular dance band Scat.

Knuckles was also a Shades member and wrote and recorded with the Rockin’ Bricks out of Northern New Jersey.

The two have performed with Pompadour over the years in several band incarnations including ‘Pompadour Head’ and ‘The JP Band’.

The trio are looking forward to this event for many reasons Palomar elaborates, “Fraternal organizations are seeing difficult times with new membership. The work the Bordentown Elks is doing is important and ongoing and the need for support and interest has never been greater. With the help of social events like this stimilating interest with the younger generation can be a much needed boost.”

Tickets are available through the Bordentown Elks Lodge by calling 609-298-2085

The lodge is located on Amboy Rd in Bordentown, NJ members are encouraged to bring guests to this event.
